I heard on the news last night that a section of the Foothills Parkway will be open to the public next weekend October 18th & 19th. Hopefully this time we can get a chance to go! Here is a link for more information: WATE 6

Foothills Parkway opening? Wow, I used to ride my bike on a section of it which had not been opened when I was in high school. Bet they had to repave and replace wooden guard rails since then.
